 Professor, Aquatic Ecology, Department of Fish, Wildlife & Conservation Ecology

Boeing Wiebke Johanna Introduction

Boeing Wiebke Johanna is an aquatic ecologist and have experience on every trophic level of the aquatic food web in both freshwater and marine systems. Her research focuses on the effects of climate change and anthropogenic activities on aquatic communities and predator-prey interactions. To date, she have received over $1.5 million in grant support and have published over 30 peer-reviewed journal articles. She have supervised more than 50 undergraduate students, nine graduate students, and two postdoctoral researchers in various field and laboratory research projects. She has passion on mentoring students and enhancing their critical thinking.Many of the peer-reviewed articles are first-authored by her students.
